If you answered YES to even one of those questions, then the Kitchen Republic Academy could be just what you need to level up your food business this year.
Hot off the success of our very first program, we’re excited to announce a Spring session of the Academy, running from April through June 2019. Applications are open now!
What is the Academy?
We offer a 12-week program that’s designed for chefs, producers and farmers who want to bring their food business idea to market successfully. The hands-on curriculum is aimed at providing aspiring and emerging entrepreneurs the practical guidance and expertise of peer and industry mentors to turn good food ideas into great food businesses.
Our weekly 3-hour workshops are jam-packed with the super-valuable insights and know-how that will help an emerging food business move forward with clarity and confidence. Each session is facilitated by our food business coaches who lead activities and discussions designed for peer learning. We also invite industry experts, leaders, and influencers who provide invaluable insight from the frontlines of the Dutch food business landscape.
Launched in October 2018, the Academy just wrapped its first cohort of twelve startup participants with an epic Pitch Day and Startup Market. (Read more about that here.)
Who should apply?
We’re looking for “triple-bottom-line” businesses whose mission balances people, planet, and profit. The startups who’ll find the greatest value in what our program offers tend to be in the early-stages of business development, active for no more than one year, but with a clearly defined and ideally, prototyped and tested product.
What do I get out of it?
At the end of the twelve weeks, you'll have a polished product and pitch, a good understanding of the food industry, a clear vision of your goals and your first big buyers. But you’ll also be plugged into Kitchen Republic’s unparalleled network of food business movers and shakers, plus our dynamic and diverse community of 40+ members. You’ll have one-on-one support from our business coaches, not to mention from your fellow participants.
